Experienced Asphalt Maintenance

Sealcoating, or pavement sealing, is a protective coating applied to asphalt-based pavements to shield them from the elements, such as water, oils, and UV damage. Sealcoating can help prevent or delay damage that can occur over time due to exposure to the elements, such as cracks and potholes, which can be expensive to repair. Sealcoating can also make parking lots look fresh and can be more cost-effective than making ongoing repairs.

Cracks, potholes, and other areas where the structural integrity has been compromised should be repaired before applying sealcoat. Freshly laid asphalt should also cure for three to six months before sealcoating.

Sealcoating creates a barrier that protects against water, UV rays, chemicals, oils, and vehicular damage. It can also slow down deterioration from oxidation, which can make asphalt brittle and more likely to crack.

We can HIGHLY recommend these guys and gals. Our blacktop is beautiful. They did it about a year and a half ago, and winter is just over it STILL looks amazing. This is our second winter! In the last five years we have used three companies to seal the cracks or sealcoat our long driveway. This year we finally picked the superstar, Advantage Sealcoating. These professionals, Dave and Craig, hit every high note on this job. They promptly returned our calls and emails. They came out to estimate the job when they said they would and they were quick about it. Their bid was competitive. They scheduled the work when we accepted the bid, telling us they were slammed so it could be two to five weeks out. Then less a week or so later they called with a much sooner time slot. They gave us plenty of advanced notice the day of the job. The crew was highly professional, courteous, and fast, doing a very tidy job. They were careful to keep the hot rubber in the cracks, not all over. This otherwise dirty work was impeccable, targeted on the cracks with a terrific finish. Then they asked us to look for places where the compound might settle in, and they would return sometime later to fix that, which they did promptly. We were blown away. And now we have a company to manage our driveway we can count on to do it right with terrific communication and at a fair price.

Two years ago I had them look at my driveway and they said that I did not need to seal coat for at least two years. I was very impressed that they would actually turn down business in the best interest of the customer. I had them seal coat last week and I’m very impressed with their professionalism and overall expertise. Beautifully done, no slop-over onto the pavers, competitively priced, etc. Very highly recommend.
